Mukhtar Kazi is a self-taught artist whose work engages light through abstract forms.

Mukhtar Kazi is based in Thane, Maharashtra. His work The Sea and the Sahel was exhibited with Stranger's House Gallery at the 15th edition of the Dakar Biennale (Dak'Art – Biennale de l'Art Africain Contemporain), Senegal, and more recently at the São Paulo Biennale (2025/26).
