Ashwin Khapare is a contemporary artist known for vibrant, dynamic paintings exploring urban life, cultural diversity, and human connection through bold colour and expressive brushwork. His practice traces the tension between tradition and urban survival through the life of a Konkani Naman folk artist who has moved to the city for work and family. In the village, Naman is a living tradition, performed with devotion and community support; in the city, that same performer moves through ordinary jobs and crowded streets.
